Hosted by Scott West, Daybreak USA is a LIVE, fast-paced morning show that airs nationwide on nearly 2500 stations in America. In addition, the show airs on the American Forces Network and XM Satellite Radio. During his interview, Rev. John had the opportunity to share about Israel's deep and critical significance today. He noted why Israel is a more important topic even than the American or European financial crises, precisely because Israel is the only nation God called into being in the first place. God is part of Israel's past and present just as He has plans for her immediate future. In addition, Rev. Two men of faith join Yishai. First is Rabbi Ephraim Epstein, Senior Rabbi of Congregation "Sons of Israel " in Cherry Hill NJ. In addition to his work on behalf of the congregation, he serves the community overseeing the local Kosher certification, the Eruv [Shabbat enclosure], the Mikvah [the ritual bath] as well as the Chevrah Kadishah [burial society]. Rabbi Epstein's passions are making marriage work, helping people pray like they mean it (this year he has helped orchestrate a National Tefilla Initiative to inspire Jews to attend to and improve their prayer), and making sure that all Jews stay united, or as we say, Achdut!
Then, Yishai talks in-studio with Rev. Dr. John Tweedie. In 1997 Dr. Tweedie was asked to help establish a Canadian branch office of Christians for Israel International, a European-based ministry created for the benefit of Israel and Jewish people. Its stated mission is: “To declare God’s redemptive purposes for Israel and the Church, and to urge support of Israel through prayer and action according to the will and Word of God.” Today, Dr. Tweedie is the Chairman of both Christians for Israel Canada and C4I International and has produced many high-value films to educate Christians about the Biblical vision of Israel.
